First Friday: Iowa Rocks

Joe LeValley grew up in Dayton, Iowa. He used proceeds from a paper route to buy his first set of drums while in the 8th Grade, and has been playing in rock bands almost continuously ever since. Joe has been a member of numerous bands, and has had the opportunity to open for Dobie Gray and Kenny Rogers. One of his drum recordings received some airplay (a song written by T.C. Dakin of Posse). Joe was inducted into the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame in September 2016 as a member of the Mourning Glory Rock Band.

The Burlington Public Library is a pillar in the local community. The staff has been hosting free, or low-cost, events for many years in hopes to help the surrounding area flourish. Knowledge is free here, and the space is open for any that need it.
