Megan is the passion and heart of our team here at United Way of Southeast Iowa, where her leadership and organizational skills set her apart. Each day, she brings a strategic approach to building connections with community leaders, government officials, and board members. Megan’s dedication to securing the future of United Way shines as a beacon for her generation, inspiring others to get involved in shaping a better tomorrow.

In addition to her work at United Way, she is a well-known advocate in the community. Her commitment extends to causes she cares deeply about, including her support of the Des Moines County Animal Shelter and her active role in the Homelessness Taskforce, Disaster Recovery Operative(?), and more. As both a successful business owner and a philanthropist, Megan ensures that her work and contributions make a tangible difference in the lives of those around her.

Sarah Terwilliger

Sarah is the go to person for keeping things running smooth here at United Way of Southeast Iowa. Whether she’s managing our daily finances, tracking donations, or juggling various office tasks, she does it with a calm can-do attitude. With a background in wedding planning, restaurant management, and accounting, she’s turned multi-tasking into an art.

When she’s not in the office, she is at home dedicated to her three kids. And with barely enough time to herself, stays involved with her community by helping local wildlife, particularly raccoons, and working here with us. She’s passionate about making a difference both at work and at home, and is excited to be part of the new United Way.

Cassondra McIntyre

Cas is part of the creative force behind United Way of Southeast Iowa’s branding, handling everything from social media content creation and marketing, to website upkeep via WordPress. With skills in Adobe Suite, HTML, CSS, and more, she brings her love for design and storytelling to life while using various marketing tools to keep organization across multiple platforms.

A passionate artist and gamer, she enjoys diving into role-playing games like D&D in her spare time. United Way holds a special place in her heart, as the agencies having helped her during a tough time when no one else could. While she’s taking a break from volunteering due to a TBI, she can’t wait to get back to the hands-on work she loves.
