THE UNITED IN SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP

The United Way of Southeast Iowa is proud to present the United In Service Scholarship. This Scholarship had its inaugural year in April of 2024, where we celebrated some fantastic teens that have changed this community for the better. We not only were excited to give, but are excited to host once more the United In Service Scholarship for 2026. We are accepting applications from now, until February 28, 2026. If you or someone you know deserves to be recognized for their outstanding efforts we have five available scholarships to hand out.

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS

Number of Recipients: Up to 5

Award Range: $500 – $2,500

Application Deadline: February 28, 2026

Notification of Recipients: March 2026

Please email your completed cover letter, letters of recommendation, transcripts, essay and or video application to megan.brincks@unitedwayseia.org by 11:59PM CST on February 28, 2026. If you are unable to do so, please drop off or mail in your application to:

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Must Reside In One Of The Following Zip-Codes:52630, 52641, 52642, 52649, 52601, 52623, 52637, 52638, 52640, 52645, 52646, 52650, 52655, 52660, 52620, 52631, 52644, 52651, 52653, 52659.
Must Be a High School Graduating Senior of a public, private, virtual or homeschool program. We do, however, welcome and encourage students that are receiving their GED and going to college in Fall of 2027 to apply.

Possess A Valid State-Issued ID Card, Driver’s Permit, or Driver’s License
